Dr Driss Ait Ouakrim

Dr Ait Ouakrim is a research fellow and epidemiologist at the Centre for Epidemiology and Biostatistics, Melbourne School of Population and Global Health, The University of Melbourne.

He holds joint PhD awards from The University of Melbourne and the Université de Lyon, France. He has a joint position in the Health Division of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in Paris.  His research at the the Centre for Epidemiology and Biostatistics is focused on the analysis of colorectal cancer screening practices in the population and the cost-effectivness of screening for people at different risk levels using familial data from the Australasian Colorectal Cancer Family Registry. He also has a strong interest in the effect of socio-economic factors on the colorectal cancer risk and outcomes.
