Professor Ingrid Winship is the Executive Director of Research for Melbourne Health and the Chair of Adult Clinical Genetics at The University of Melbourne.
She has 30 years’ experience in Clinical Genetics. Initially establishing comprehensive genetic services in New Zealand, she now has leading role in genetics in Victoria. Her work includes gene discovery and clinical research, service development and translational research, developing new models of genetic services especially for adult patients with inherited predisposition to cancer. She is a member of the Australian Health Ethics Committee, and served for six years until its completion on the NHMRC Human Genetic Advisory Committee. She is a member of the Victorian Cancer Agency.
