Professor Jenkins is the Director of the Centre for Epidemiology & Biostatistics at the Melbourne School of Population & Global Health, University of Melbourne. He is an epidemiologist who is an investigator on over 20 funded international and national research projects.
He is the Chief Investigator of the Centre for Research Excellence: Reducing the Burden of Colorectal Cancer by Optimising Screening. He is Principal Investigator of National Institutes of Health (USA) international collaboration Colon Cancer Family Registry, and is the Chief Investigator of the Worldwide Study of Cancer Risks for Lynch syndrome. He has published over 180 articles on genetic epidemiology of cancer, colorectal cancer research and mismatch repair genes and colorectal cancer. He has been a member of national and international cancer research review panels and national and international journals and funding bodies.
