Associate Professor Clara Gaff

Associate Professor Clara Gaff is the Executive Director for Melbourne Genomics Health Alliance, with a long clinical practice career at the Royal Women's Hospital, the Victorian Clinical Genetics Service, the Royal Melbourne Hospital, and the University Hospital Wales.

She played a key role in establishing and managing the Familial Cancer Centre and Adult Genetics service at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. She completed her PhD in molecular genetics at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute for Medical Genetics and postdoctoral research at the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute, followed by training in genetic counselling.
She is a Member of the National Health and Medical Research Council’s (NHMRC) Health Translation Advisory Committee; the Australian Health Ethics Committee; NHMRC Genetics Working Committee; Scientific Advisory Committee, Biogrid; Advisory Board for; and the Personalised Medicine Steering Committee of the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre.
